Easter 2010 and Mesa Verde Trip

Easter was a lot fun this year. With Kianna being a little bit older, she really got into the egg coloring ritual, and kept asking when the eggs with candy in them were going to come in to the picture. Here are some pics of Laura and Kianna hard at work decorating the eggs, the kid’s Easter baskets as well as a picture of Kianna and Laura in their “Easter Dresses”. They sure do look pretty.

We went down to SW Colorado for the 15 annual Dirk & Colt Ross Memorial Basketball Tournament and were able to spend time with family during the event. We also had a chance to visit Mesa Verde which is located just West of Durango, CO. The structure to the left is the most famous of the National Park and is called “Cliff Palace”, to the right is the “Spruce Tree House”.

I haven’t been back since I was around 12 years old, and everyone had a lot of fun wandering through the Anazasi ruins, and visiting the various Museums. Kianna loved climbing all the ladders that take you to higher levels, and Laura had a chance to try out an authentic Puebloite Mill Stone. She got a workout in the process.

The next day we went to Timble Hot Springs in Druango, CO. They were mineral springs so the water was a brown/red in color, and it felt great. Wyatt and Kianna really enjoyed themselves, and we all got some sun. Kianna also liked playing the “cold pool” with Daddy. Overall it was a really fun trip.
