Day at the Museum

This year we decided to get a Family Membership to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It is really tough to get through the entire museum in one day, and if we can go as many times as we want with the membership, we won't feel as rushed when we go. Plus our daughter Kianna LOVES Dinosaurs. She has a pretty good collection of Dino Books, and can already rattle off the names of quite a few species of Dinosaurs. We brought some friends with us and had a fun time at the museum.

Kianna was wide-eyed the entire time (as can be easily seen in one of the pictures above), and her excitement grew with each new Dinosaur she encountered. Although she loved the experience, there was one part that she did not like. One of the "Prehistoric Habitats" they had set up showed a Dinohyus which was a large Prehistoric Carnivorous Pig, that was 6ft tall and roamed the grasslands of North America.

I took Kianna up close to get a better look, but I guess it was a bit too life-like for her and she wanted to stay back. Just as I was trying to explain that it was only a statue and wasn't alive, the Dinohyus started to snort loudly with some internal speaker system. Kianna FREAKED OUT and wanted nothing more to do with the Giant Hog Habitat, yelling at the top of her lungs; "I don't want that!".

We had a great time, and were glad that Mark and his family could join us. And now some random pictures of the Kids looking really cute.
